Hi! I’m Elizabeth, the one-woman show behind Cozy Little Knits. I have been a needle art enthusiast since I was a child. I began with cross-stitch at an early age and learned how to sew from my mom, who made most of my clothes at the time. Later, I majored in Costume Design in college where I learned how to create and execute on a vision. It was only after I had kids that my love of design moved from fabric garments to knitwear, especially colorful small items that kids don’t quickly outgrow.
We live on an acre in the woods on a small island in the Pacific Northwest where most of the year often requires cozy knits, which is just the way I like it! My designs are inspired by this beautiful maritime climate. Days typically start cool and foggy, even in the middle of summer. Once temperatures peak at mid-day, the evenings quickly cool, making the coziness of a scarf or wrap quite welcome. Cozy Little Knits are exactly that–small, cozy items that can be easily stashed in a pocket or handbag during the warmth of the mid-day.
Cozy Little Knit patterns are approachable for knitters of all levels and I specify necessary skills on individual pattern listings. I also offer options to personalize your project with your own creative interpretations.
